Fashion

    Fashions have changed throughout the years.  Many fashions from the 70's are coming back into the millennium though.  Many of these fashions include flare pants, bootleg pants, matching coat and pant outfits, long coats/sweaters, and wide-leg pants.  Vibrant colors and eye-catching patterns are also a part of fashion today.  Some styles today can get very pricey, but for the most part they’re affordable. 

    Wide-leg pants are very popular now-a-days.  You can buy them, just about anywhere.  They’re sold as jeans or nice pants.  Black wide-leg pants are the most worn style today.  You can get them at an affordable price of $20-$40 at most clothing stores such as Old Navy or Kaufmann’s.  If you’re shopping in a catalogue, you can purchase them in the Chadwicks catalogue or even the Fingerhut catalogue.  They come in all sizes and the latest colors and patterns of the season. 

    Long coats that were worn back in the 70's are also back in style.  These coats also known as Maxi’s.   Shaggy sweater maxis’ or long leather maxi’s are sold. They cost from about $40-$70.  They’re sold almost everywhere, in catalogues and at your local stores.  These maxi sweaters are very comfortable and depending on where you buy them, very affordable.  Whether you’re dressing up or down for the day, they go with every style.  Comfortable or dressy!

    Say you take a trip to the mall.  There is one thing you’ll notice in almost every store, whether it’s a woman’s or men’s store they most likely have them.  Can you guess what they are?  Matching pant- jacket outfits!  Not only are there jean pant outfits, but there are dressy nice pant-jacket outfits and even short and skirt-jacket outfits.  They cost about $50 and up for a whole outfit.  You can get pant-jacket outfits in Fingerhut catalogues and stores like JC Penny’s or even Target.  They’re great if you want to look casual or if you want to dress up nicely.

    For about four to five years now boot-leg pants have been in style.  You see them more and more as time goes on.  They pushed tapered jeans right out of the way when they came into the market.  You see adults and kids wearing them.  You see business people and day care children wearing them, both men and women.  There is at least one pair on boot-leg pants in a clothing store.  They cost anywhere from $15-$50.  They’re available at most stores and in most catalogues. They also come in all colors and sizes.

    We’ve gone through the top four fashions so far.  Can you guess what the number one fashion is around our world today?  Flare pants and jeans!  If that’s what you said you guessed right.  You see people of all different ethnicity, countries, sizes, and shapes wearing flare-leg pants and jeans.  Just like the boot-leg pants and jeans, flares cost about the same, anywhere from $15-$50, and you can get them at most clothing stores and in most catalogues.

    Now that we’ve stated the top five fashions of the millennium, Can you notice anything that familiar in all of them?  They are all from back in the 70's.   It seems like more and more of the 70's are coming back into the millennium. If you take a trip to the mall and you look in most of the clothing stores, you will see one, if not all, of these fashions in there.  You never know what to expect from the clothing market.  Who knows what they’ll come out with next.  The old is always refreshed and made new again.
