Life is a salad bar,
Filled with many choices.
Fresh, crisp, new lettuce in a glass bowl,
Cold, runny, chunky bleu cheese spilled on the counter.
Filled with different flavors and spices,
Such as sour lemon and sweet sugar.
There are dozens toppings up on the table,
Hard croutons, red tomatoes, and little beans I see.
Which ones to choose?
I will soon know,
For I am standing in line.
