The sun shows his face as it rises,
Smiling to all he may see.
He utters warm breaths to the wind,
Who carries his words across the plain.
He drives the clouds away from here,
To distances unseen by the eye.
And welcomes morning fresh and new,
Greeting the world once more.
He engulfs the sky with color,
Reds, yellows, oranges, and pinks.
Each worth a thousand words,
Which will be spoken soon.
Driven away is the night by him,
To go away until another dusk.
And not to return until such time,
When shadows roam the earth.
